Golf in South San Francisco

South San Francisco is a city in San Mateo County on the San Francisco Peninsula, immediately south of San Francisco and adjacent to San Francisco International Airport. The city is home to a significant concentration of biotechnology and life sciences companies and has been a center of biotech industry since the late twentieth century. San Mateo County's northern cities near SFO, including South San Francisco and Millbrae, are part of the biotech corridor extending along the bay side of the Peninsula. The city has an industrial and commercial character on its eastern and southern portions, with residential neighborhoods in the hillier western areas.
