Golf in Sunnyside-Tahoe City

Sunnyside is a small community in Placer County on the west shore of Lake Tahoe, south of Tahoe City along State Route 89. The community sits on a flat area near the lake at roughly 6,200 feet elevation, where the terrain transitions from the lake margin to the forested Sierra Nevada slopes. Placer County's Lake Tahoe communities along the west and north shores provide lodging, services, and recreation access for large numbers of summer and winter visitors. Sunnyside has a small marina and commercial area serving lake recreation and local residents. State Route 89 connects the community to Tahoe City to the north and to the Emerald Bay area and South Lake Tahoe to the south. The lake is the central feature of this community, with the surrounding Sierra Nevada terrain providing context for the high-elevation setting.
