Golf in Tahoe Vista

Tahoe Vista is a small community in Placer County on the north shore of Lake Tahoe, east of Tahoe City along State Route 28. The community sits at lake level at roughly 6,200 feet elevation, on flat terrain between the lake and the Sierra Nevada slopes rising to the north. Placer County's north shore communities, including Tahoe Vista, are strung along the lakeshore east of Tahoe City toward the Nevada border. The community has a mix of vacation properties, permanent residences, and some commercial activity serving the north shore recreation area. State Route 28 connects Tahoe Vista to Tahoe City to the west and to Kings Beach to the east. Lake access provides swimming and boating in summer, and the surrounding mountains provide ski areas in winter. The community has a vacation-oriented character typical of Tahoe's north shore.
