Golf in Sunnyside

Sunnyside is a community in Fresno County in the southeastern portion of the city of Fresno, along the eastern edge of the urban area. The community occupies a residential and commercial zone at the margins of the Fresno urbanized area, where suburban development has expanded toward the Clovis city limits. Fresno County's urban core extends from Fresno westward, with Sunnyside occupying a position between the central city and the suburban communities to the east. The area is predominantly residential with commercial corridors along the major east-west arterials. The terrain is flat, consistent with the San Joaquin Valley floor, with the Sierra Nevada foothills several miles to the east. Sunnyside is well within Fresno's metropolitan area, with access to the city's employment, retail, and education resources. State Route 180 provides the main east-west highway connection in this part of the county.
