Golf in Sanger

Sanger is a city in Fresno County in the San Joaquin Valley, southeast of Fresno on State Route 180. The city sits at roughly 360 feet elevation at the edge of the valley floor where the terrain begins to rise toward the Kings River and Sierra Nevada foothills to the east. Fresno County's eastern communities, including Sanger, have an agricultural character with citrus, grapes, and stone fruit in the surrounding orchards and vineyards. The city serves as a commercial center for the surrounding agricultural community and is within commuting distance of Fresno. State Route 180 connects Sanger to Fresno to the west and continues east toward Kings Canyon National Park. The Kings River runs to the north of the city, providing irrigation water for surrounding agricultural lands. Sanger has a modest downtown and is within the growing suburban reach of the Fresno metropolitan area.
