Golf in Ballinger
1 golf course in Ballinger, Texas.
Ballinger is the county seat of Runnels County in west-central Texas, a small agricultural and ranching community on the Colorado River. Runnels County is in the transition zone between the northwest Texas plains and the Edwards Plateau, with cotton farming, wheat, and cattle ranching as the economic base. The Colorado River provides water in this semi-arid region, and the reservoir lakes along the river system are recreational resources. Ballinger is in the middle Colorado River valley, at roughly 1,700 feet elevation, in the mesquite and native grass country. The Concho Valley region to the southwest has San Angelo as its major urban center. One course serves the small Ballinger community in the semi-arid terrain of the upper Colorado River drainage.
