Golf in Impact

Impact is a small community adjacent to Abilene in Taylor County, a city that has maintained independent status in the west-central Texas plains. The Tommy Hale Short Game Center serves the Abilene area golf community from this small incorporated community adjacent to the larger city. Taylor County is centered on Abilene, the major commercial and educational hub for a broad regional area of the west Texas plains. The flat to gently varied terrain of the west Texas plains at roughly 1,700 feet elevation surrounds the community. One course serves the Impact area in the west Texas plains terrain of Taylor County.
