Golf in Bangs

Bangs is a small community in Brown County east of Brownwood, in the Cross Timbers and transition zone of central Texas. The community is a small bedroom community and agricultural settlement in Brown County, adjacent to the county seat of Brownwood. Brown County's economy centers on agriculture, manufacturing, and the regional commerce of Brownwood, which serves as the hub for a cluster of smaller west-central Texas communities. The terrain around Bangs is in the Cross Timbers, with cedar, live oak, and mesquite on gently varied terrain at roughly 1,500 feet elevation.
