Golf in Kemp

Kemp is a small city in Kaufman County near Cedar Creek Lake east of Dallas, a community at the edge of a major recreational reservoir. Cedar Creek Lake is one of the larger freshwater lakes in north Texas, created by a dam on Cedar Creek, and the lake has attracted residential and vacation development in Kaufman, Henderson, and Van Zandt Counties. Kemp serves as a small commercial center for the lake community in the post oak and Blackland Prairie transition terrain of eastern Kaufman County. The US 175 corridor east of Dallas connects Kemp to the DFW Metroplex. One course serves the Kemp and Cedar Creek Lake area in the post oak terrain of eastern Kaufman County.
