Golf in Lancaster

Lancaster is a city in northern Ellis County along the I-35E corridor south of Dallas, part of the growing southern Metroplex suburban development. The community has a diverse residential population in the Blackland Prairie terrain of northern Ellis County, in the transition zone between the dense southern Dallas urban area and the more open suburban fringe of Ellis County. Lancaster is adjacent to the Dallas city limits and has grown significantly as the southern Metroplex suburban belt has expanded. The I-35E corridor south of Dallas through Lancaster and Desoto is one of the primary southern access routes for the Metroplex. The Blackland Prairie terrain of northern Ellis County has the characteristic heavy clay soils and flat to gently varied topography. Lancaster has seen growth in both residential and industrial-distribution development, particularly along the I-35E corridor. One course serves the Lancaster community in the flat Blackland Prairie terrain of northern Ellis County.
