Golf in Kilgore

Kilgore is a small city in Gregg County in the East Texas oil country, known for the Kilgore Rangerettes precision drill team at Kilgore College and for the East Texas Oil Museum documenting the 1930s oil boom. The city was at the center of the East Texas oil field discovery that transformed the region, and the urban oil derricks that once dotted the downtown have been recognized as a symbol of the era. Gregg County's economy is still tied to the oil and gas industry, with the Sabine River and pine and hardwood forest providing the natural setting. One course serves the Kilgore community in the forested East Texas terrain.
