Golf in Red Oak

Red Oak is a city in northern Ellis County along the I-35E corridor south of Dallas, in the growing southern Metroplex fringe. The community has developed as a residential suburb as the Dallas southern suburbs have expanded southward into Ellis County along the I-35E and US 67 corridors. Red Oak is adjacent to Ovilla and Glenn Heights, in the northern Ellis County suburban zone that has been growing as land values in closer-in Dallas County suburbs have risen. The Blackland Prairie terrain of northern Ellis County has the characteristic dark clay soils and flat to gently varied topography typical of this part of north Texas. The community is approximately 20 miles south of downtown Dallas. One course serves the Red Oak community in the Blackland Prairie terrain of northern Ellis County.
