Golf in Marfa

Marfa is the county seat of Presidio County in the Trans-Pecos of far west Texas, internationally known for the mysterious Marfa Lights phenomenon visible on the desert plain east of town, the Chinati Foundation contemporary art museum, and its unexpected presence in the fashion and art world. The community sits at roughly 4,700 feet elevation in the high Chihuahuan Desert, with adobe structures, clear skies, and a small but internationally connected community of artists, ranchers, and visitors drawn by the cultural reputation. Presidio County is one of the most remote areas in Texas, and Marfa is approximately 200 miles from El Paso and 400 miles from San Antonio. The Pinto Canyon Road and the surrounding alpine terrain of the Davis Mountains to the north attract outdoor enthusiasts.
