Golf in Pittsburg

Pittsburg is the county seat of Camp County in Northeast Texas near the Arkansas border, in the Piney Woods near Cypress Creek. Camp County is in the deep East Texas forest region where the pine and hardwood woodland creates a forested landscape typical of the Ark-La-Tex. Ezell's Chicken, a locally known restaurant, is among the community's dining institutions. The community is in the Cypress Creek watershed, with the lake and stream system draining toward the Sulphur River to the north. Camp County is a small, rural county with a population centered on the county seat. Pittsburg is approximately 115 miles east of Dallas on the US 271 and SH 11 corridors.
