Golf in Mount Pleasant

Mount Pleasant is the county seat of Titus County in Northeast Texas and a mid-size regional center in the Big Cypress Creek drainage area of the Piney Woods. The community serves as the commercial, medical, and educational hub for a multi-county area in Northeast Texas. Lake Bob Sandlin State Park is nearby on the reservoir created by the dam on Big Cypress Creek, providing recreation in the pine and hardwood forest terrain of Titus County. The Pilgrim's Pride poultry processing operation in the area has been a significant employer for the community. Titus County is in the transitional zone between the North Texas prairies and the deeper East Texas Piney Woods, with the terrain becoming more forested as you move eastward. Mount Pleasant is approximately 120 miles northeast of Dallas on the US 271 and I-30 corridors. One course serves the Mount Pleasant community in the pine and hardwood terrain of Titus County.
