Golf in Rockwall

Rockwall is the county seat of Rockwall County east of Dallas, the smallest county in Texas by area and a community that has grown substantially as the Lake Ray Hubbard shoreline has attracted upscale residential development accessible to the Dallas employment centers via the I-30 corridor. The city has a lakefront character, with residences and commercial development along the western shore of the reservoir. The reservoir, one of the larger water supply lakes serving the Dallas area, has made Rockwall a destination for boat ownership and lake recreation. The community name comes from a buried rock formation of unknown origin discovered by early settlers. Rockwall County is the smallest county in Texas by area, and Rockwall is the primary community in the county. Two courses serve the Rockwall community in the terrain on the eastern shore of Lake Ray Hubbard.
