Golf in Douglas

Douglas is the Converse County seat on the North Platte River in east-central Wyoming, best known as the self-proclaimed home of the jackalope, a mythical hybrid animal whose oversized fiberglass statue stands in the town park. The Wyoming State Fair, held in Douglas each August, is one of the state's oldest and most attended annual events, drawing exhibitors and visitors from across Wyoming and neighboring states. Douglas's position on I-25 between Casper and Cheyenne gives it accessibility that supports a small but diverse economy. The North Platte's cottonwood-lined banks provide a recreational corridor through the surrounding dry terrain. The Ayres Natural Bridge, a sandstone arch spanning LaPrele Creek west of Douglas, is one of Wyoming's most accessible natural landmarks and a popular picnic destination for families from the surrounding area.
