Golf in Bayview

Bayview is a small community in Humboldt County along the east shore of Humboldt Bay, south of Eureka. The community occupies a narrow strip of land between Humboldt Bay to the west and the coastal hills to the east, in an area marked by bay and wetland habitat at the southern bay. Humboldt County's communities along Humboldt Bay include Eureka, Arcata, and several smaller settlements in the bay corridor. Bayview is primarily residential with limited commercial services, and residents typically travel to Eureka or Fortuna for most employment and shopping. US Highway 101 runs through the broader area, providing the main north-south corridor through Humboldt County. The bay in this area provides habitat for shorebirds and waterfowl, and the tidal marshes on the bay fringe are part of the broader bay ecosystem.
