Golf in Willow Creek

Willow Creek is a small community in Humboldt County in the Trinity River drainage, east of Arcata in the mountains that separate the coast from the Sacramento Valley. The community sits near the confluence of Willow Creek and the Trinity River, in a narrow mountain valley where the river runs through the inner North Coast Range. Humboldt County extends far inland from the Pacific, and Willow Creek is positioned in the mountainous interior where the county borders Trinity County. The local economy centers on a small commercial district serving the surrounding rural population and tourism related to the Trinity River's fishing and recreation resources. State Route 299 provides the main highway connection, linking Willow Creek to Arcata and the Humboldt coast to the west and to Weaverville and the Sacramento Valley to the east.
