Golf in Canyon Lake

Canyon Lake is an incorporated city in Riverside County in the southwestern portion of the county, between Lake Elsinore and Sun City. The city centers on Canyon Lake, a large private reservoir that serves as the central amenity of what is effectively a gated community incorporated as a city. Riverside County's southwestern communities, including Canyon Lake and Lake Elsinore, are in the foothills north of the Santa Ana Mountains. The city is primarily residential, with Canyon Lake itself available only to property owners within the community. The surrounding terrain has chaparral-covered hills and the reservoir provides boating, swimming, and fishing access. State Route 74 and Railroad Canyon Road provide the main highway connections to the Interstate 15 freeway corridor.
