Golf in Carmel Valley Village

Carmel Valley Village is the commercial center of Carmel Valley, an unincorporated area in Monterey County in the inland valley east of Carmel-by-the-Sea. The village sits at roughly 1,200 feet elevation in the Carmel Valley, where the Carmel River runs west toward the coast. Monterey County's inland valleys, including Carmel Valley, have a warmer and sunnier climate than the coastal communities a few miles west. The valley floor supports wine grape production and other agriculture, with numerous wineries operating in the surrounding area. Carmel Valley Village has a small commercial area with restaurants, shops, and wine tasting rooms serving both local residents and visitors who explore the valley inland from the coastal corridor. The surrounding terrain of oak-covered hillsides rising from the valley floor gives the area a distinct inland California character.
