Golf in Hanford

Hanford is the county seat of Kings County, a city in the San Joaquin Valley west of Visalia. The city occupies flat valley terrain at roughly 245 feet elevation, surrounded by agricultural land producing cotton, dairy products, almonds, and other crops typical of Kings County. Kings County is one of California's most agricultural counties by economic output, and Hanford serves as the administrative and commercial hub for the county. The city has a compact traditional downtown with a courthouse square. State Route 198 connects Hanford to Visalia to the east and to Lemoore and Interstate 5 to the west. The city is along the planned California High-Speed Rail corridor, with Fresno to the north and Bakersfield to the south on the route. Agriculture and county government employment are the primary economic anchors for the area.
