Golf in Lake San Marcos

Lake San Marcos is a community in San Diego County in the north county inland area, adjacent to the city of San Marcos. The community is centered on the San Marcos Creek area and the former Lake San Marcos resort area, in the inland valley terrain of north county San Diego. San Diego County's inland communities in the San Marcos area have seen substantial growth as the broader north county has expanded. The Lake San Marcos area includes some older resort development alongside newer residential and commercial uses in the broader San Marcos community. California State University San Marcos is nearby and is a significant educational institution for the area. Twin Oaks Valley Road and State Route 78 provide the main local access.
