Golf in Lake Sherwood

Lake Sherwood is a small private gated community in Ventura County in the hills west of Thousand Oaks, in the Conejo Mountains between the Conejo Valley and the Simi Valley. The community is centered on a private lake in a canyon setting, with residential properties on the surrounding slopes. Ventura County's residential communities in the Conejo Mountain area have a distinctive hill setting away from the main commercial corridors. Lake Sherwood is primarily residential and is accessible via local roads from Thousand Oaks and the Highway 101 corridor. The surrounding terrain consists of coastal chaparral and oak woodland on the Conejo Mountain slopes. Lake Sherwood Country Club is within the community. The area is a private residential enclave in the hill country west of the main Conejo Valley urban area.
