Golf in Lakeside

Lakeside is an unincorporated community in San Diego County east of San Diego in the El Cajon Valley, along the San Diego River northeast of El Cajon. The community occupies flat valley terrain where the San Diego River runs through the suburban East County residential area. San Diego County's East County communities, including Lakeside and Santee, are part of the suburban corridor along the San Diego River valley east of the main city. The community has a residential and commercial area along Mapleview Street and El Cajon Boulevard. Lake Jennings County Park is nearby, providing recreation around a reservoir. The Rodeo Arena in the community is a venue for Western events. State Route 67 provides north-south access, connecting to Interstate 8 to the south and to Ramona to the north.
