Golf in Ramona

Ramona is an unincorporated community in San Diego County in the inland mountain area east of Poway, at roughly 1,400 feet elevation in a broad interior valley. The community occupies a broad valley floor in the coastal mountain range, where the terrain opens into a relatively flat inland area. San Diego County's inland communities, including Ramona, have a mix of agricultural, horse property, and residential uses in the mountain valley terrain. The community has a small commercial area along Main Street and serves as the main center for rural communities in the San Diego County backcountry north of Alpine. State Route 67 provides the main highway access from the south and west. Ramona Airport serves general aviation. Wine grape production has grown in the surrounding area.
