Golf in Santee

Santee is a city in San Diego County in the East County, along the San Diego River northeast of El Cajon. The city occupies flat valley terrain along the San Diego River, where Santee Lakes Regional Park and County Preserve provides recreation. San Diego County's East County suburban corridor, including Santee and neighboring East County communities, runs along the river valley east of the main San Diego urban area. The city has a primarily residential and light industrial character, with commercial areas along Mission Gorge Road and Santee Town Center. Santee Lakes provides camping and recreation within the urban area. State Route 52 provides the main west-east freeway connection toward Interstate 8. The MTS Trolley provides transit service connecting Santee to downtown San Diego.
