Golf in Mammoth Lakes

Mammoth Lakes is a town in Mono County on the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada, at an elevation of roughly 7,880 feet. The community sits near Mammoth Mountain and is the primary commercial center for a region that draws visitors in all seasons. Mono County borders Nevada to the east and extends along the eastern Sierra crest from roughly Bridgeport south toward Bishop. The town is accessible from US Highway 395, which runs through the Owens Valley corridor below, with a branch road climbing to the Mammoth Lakes basin. Summer brings warm, dry conditions and access to surrounding wilderness areas, while winter can bring substantial snowfall given the town's position along the Sierra crest. The local economy centers on tourism and mountain recreation, with lodging, dining, retail, and outdoor equipment businesses filling the town core. A small airport provides air service to the region.
