Golf in Moorpark

Moorpark is a city in Ventura County in the Arroyo Simi and Tierra Rejada valley area, north of Thousand Oaks. The city occupies a valley floor position in the interior of Ventura County, away from the coast, where the climate is warmer and drier than the coastal plain communities. Ventura County's interior communities, including Moorpark and Simi Valley, developed as suburban extensions of the Ventura County and greater Los Angeles area. The local economy includes retail and services for the residential population, along with some agriculture in the surrounding valley. State Route 23 and State Route 118 provide the main highway connections through the area. Moorpark College is a significant educational institution in the city. The city has grown in recent decades with residential development in the valley terrain.
