Golf in Oakdale

Oakdale is a city in Stanislaus County in the San Joaquin Valley, east of Modesto along the Stanislaus River. The city sits at the eastern edge of the valley floor where the terrain begins to rise toward the Sierra Nevada foothills. Stanislaus County's eastern communities have a ranching and agricultural character, with cattle, dairying, and row crops common in the area. Oakdale promotes itself as the Cowboy Capital of the World in recognition of a livestock and ranching tradition that continues to shape local identity. The Stanislaus River runs through the area, providing irrigation water and recreation. The city is accessible from State Route 108 and State Route 120, which run from the San Joaquin Valley up toward the Sierra Nevada and the Yosemite area.
