Golf in Anahuac

Anahuac is the county seat of Chambers County on the upper Texas Gulf Coast east of Houston, a small coastal community on Galveston Bay near the mouth of the Trinity River. The area is known for the Fort Anahuac Park, a site connected to the Texas independence movement, and for the Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge on the Gulf Coast prairie. Chambers County is one of the bird-watching destinations on the Texas coast, with the coastal marshes and prairie attracting a large variety of migratory and resident species.
