Golf in Mont Belvieu

Mont Belvieu is a city in western Chambers County east of Houston, in an area known for the extensive petroleum storage and liquefied petroleum gas caverns that sit beneath the salt dome geology of this part of the Texas Gulf Coast. The Barbers Hill salt dome area contains one of the significant underground storage complexes for the petrochemical industry, and the community has grown with energy industry activity in the eastern Houston area. Chambers County is at the east edge of the Houston metropolitan area along the I-10 corridor toward Beaumont, in the flat Gulf Coast plain. The community has also attracted residential development as the Houston suburban area has expanded eastward along the I-10 East corridor. The flat coastal plain terrain of western Chambers County has the bayou drainage and prairie grasses of the upper Texas coast. One course serves Mont Belvieu in the flat coastal terrain of western Chambers County.
