Golf in Atlanta

Atlanta is a small city in Cass County in the far northeast corner of Texas near the Louisiana and Arkansas borders, in the timber and agriculture country of the Ark-La-Tex region. Cass County is in the deep East Texas Piney Woods, and Atlanta sits in a densely forested area with multiple lakes and the Sulphur River drainage. Cass County's timber industry has long been a significant economic factor, alongside agriculture and some oil production in the county. The pine and hardwood forest of northeast Texas creates a landscape that looks more like East Texas than most of the state, with sandy soils and year-round greenery.
