Golf in Bishop

Bishop is a small city in Nueces County on the Coastal Bend of south Texas, in the flat brush and farmland inland from Corpus Christi. The community has a primarily agricultural and petroleum economy in the flat coastal plain terrain of southern Nueces County, where row crops, cattle, and natural gas production are the main activities. Bishop is in the Nueces County agricultural interior, away from the Gulf Coast cities, in the flat mesquite and brush country typical of the south Texas coastal plain. The Celanese chemical plant has been a significant industrial employer in the area. The community is approximately 35 miles southwest of Corpus Christi along US 77. One course serves the Bishop community in the flat south Texas coastal plain.
