Golf in Dickinson

Dickinson is a city in northern Galveston County along the I-45 Gulf Freeway corridor between Houston and Galveston, in the flat coastal plain of the upper Texas coast. The community has grown as a suburban city serving both the Houston metropolitan area and the Galveston corridor, with residential development in the Dickinson Bayou drainage. The Dickinson Bayou and the surrounding coastal prairie are characteristic of the upper Texas Gulf Coast terrain, with flat land, salt cedar, and Gulf breezes. The I-45 corridor between Houston and Galveston has developed as a linear suburban strip with commercial nodes at the major interchanges. Two courses serve the Dickinson community in the flat terrain of Galveston County.
