Golf in Electra
1 golf course in Electra, Texas.
Electra is a small city in northern Wichita County near the Red River in north Texas, connected to early oil discovery in the region and the petroleum production that defined the local economy in the early twentieth century. The community is in the red clay country of the northwest Texas plains near the Oklahoma border, in the agricultural and oil-field terrain of upper Wichita County. Wichita Falls is the major urban center to the south, and Electra functions as a small service community for the surrounding agricultural and oil-field area. The flat to gently varied terrain of the plains at roughly 1,200 feet elevation has mesquite and native grasses. Lake Kickapoo in adjacent Archer County provides regional recreation. One course serves the Electra community in the northwest Texas plains terrain.
