Golf in Wichita Falls

Wichita Falls is the county seat of Wichita County in northwest Texas near the Oklahoma border, the largest city in the Red River valley country of north Texas. The community has Sheppard Air Force Base with a significant Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training mission, Midwestern State University, and a healthcare sector serving a large regional population. The Red River flows along the northern county boundary, and Lake Wichita and Lake Arrowhead provide water recreation for the community. The city's name comes from the actual Wichita Falls on the Wichita River, a modest natural waterfall that was later replicated.
