Golf in Wildwood

Wildwood is a small community in Tyler County in the Big Thicket area of Southeast Texas, in one of the most biologically diverse regions in North America. The Big Thicket National Preserve encompasses areas near Wildwood, protecting the unusual overlap of multiple ecological communities—Southeastern swamps, Eastern woodlands, coastal prairie, and Southwestern desert species—in this part of Southeast Texas. Tyler County is in the deep Piney Woods with the Neches River as the primary drainage. The forested terrain of Tyler County has tall pines, hardwoods, and the dense understory vegetation characteristic of the Big Thicket. The community is accessible on the US 190 and SH 92 corridors in southeast Tyler County. One course serves the Wildwood community in the forested terrain of the Big Thicket region.
