Golf in Crescent City

Crescent City is the county seat of Del Norte County on the far north coast of California, close to the Oregon state line. The city fronts a crescent-shaped bay along the Pacific and sits about 350 miles north of San Francisco. Del Norte County holds some of the most extensive old-growth redwood forest remaining in California, with several state and national parks preserving large portions of the coastal terrain. The local economy has long centered on fishing, timber, and related industries, along with public lands employment and retail services for the surrounding area. Crescent City serves as the commercial hub for communities scattered through Del Norte and portions of adjacent Humboldt County. The area receives some of California's highest annual rainfall totals, delivered by winter storm systems off the Pacific. A harbor supports a commercial fishing fleet that remains a steady part of the local economy.
