Golf in Lancaster

Lancaster is a city in Los Angeles County in the Antelope Valley, north of the San Gabriel Mountains in the Mojave Desert. The city occupies flat desert terrain at roughly 2,300 feet elevation on the valley floor, where the residential and commercial fabric of the Antelope Valley's larger cities is concentrated. Los Angeles County's Antelope Valley communities, including Lancaster and Palmdale, have grown substantially as less expensive residential alternatives to the main metropolitan area. The city has a commercial corridor along Lancaster Boulevard in the downtown and along Avenue K and other arterials. Air Force Plant 42 in Palmdale nearby provides aerospace employment. State Route 14 provides the main freeway connection south to the main Los Angeles area.
