Golf in Edwards Air Force Base

1 golf course in Edwards Air Force Base, California.

Edwards Air Force Base is a military installation in Kern County on the Mojave Desert floor, north of Palmdale and adjacent to the Los Angeles County line. The base occupies a large area of desert terrain including the dry Rogers Lake bed, which is used as a landing site for aircraft testing. The base is the center of Air Force Flight Test Command and has been used for decades for the testing of experimental aircraft. The Space Shuttle used Rogers Lake as an alternate landing site on numerous occasions. The surrounding Mojave Desert terrain provides a dry lake bed and large restricted airspace suitable for high-performance flight testing. State Route 58 and State Route 14 provide the main highway access to the area.
