Golf in Rancho Palos Verdes

Rancho Palos Verdes is a city in Los Angeles County on the southern end of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, south of Torrance and west of the Port of Los Angeles. The city occupies the southern and eastern portions of the peninsula, with coastal cliffs on the ocean side and canyon terrain in the interior. Los Angeles County's Palos Verdes Peninsula communities, including Rancho Palos Verdes, are positioned on the elevated coastal mesa above the Pacific. The Portuguese Bend area is known for ongoing land movement due to ancient landslides. Point Vicente Lighthouse is on the coastal point. The city has a primarily residential character with some commercial areas at Palos Verdes Drive and Hawthorne Boulevard.
