Golf in Santa Venetia

Santa Venetia is a small unincorporated community in Marin County, northeast of San Rafael along the shores of San Pablo Bay. The community occupies flat to gently sloping terrain near the bay, in an area that includes reclaimed tidal marshland. Marin County's eastern communities along San Pablo Bay have a different character from the inland canyon towns and western coastal areas, sitting on lower-lying terrain close to the water. Santa Venetia is primarily residential and functions as part of the greater San Rafael area for most service and planning purposes. The community is accessible from North San Pedro Road, which runs along the bay edge in this part of Marin County. Adjacent China Camp State Park to the east preserves an old shrimping community site and bay shoreline habitat. Santa Venetia has a quiet, suburban character with a mix of single-family homes and the bay environment on its eastern edge.
